The best ways to deseed pomegranates

Pomegranates have always been one of my favourite fruits, they're exotic and have terribly staining juice and exploding seeds.  What's not to like?  

While living in Ireland, we found two varieties of pomegranates.  The ones grown in Spain or Italy with the orange, golden outer or the bright red, pink ones imported from far away lands like *gasp* California.  I know, it's not very local, but after a few tries I had to stick to the sweeteter plumper ones from California.  The seeds are great on their own but just add a pop colour and embellishment and texture not to mention the pop of acidity to any salad, humus, or burger (lamb burger to be exact).   

I don't like to just throw health/nutrient benefits out because we often get caught up in the 'nutritionism' or basic belief of picking apart our diets and thinking about single nutrients when talking about our diets.  You want a good mix of deep dark and light-coloured fruits, to provide anthocyanins and polyphenols, but really just eat a good variety of foods and LOTS of fibre.  That is all I have to say.  Without further ado, here's me making a fool of myself. =)
