I can't believe two weeks has flown by without an update. Last coffee tasting was serendipitous, it started with a featured talk on the effect of water on Coffee from Nic Witzke and we challenged you to pick up the differences side by side.
Then we tasted a number of coffees and Andrew the roaster from East Van Roasters pulled out all the stops by showcasing 3, count-em', three single origin chocolates roasted from bean to bar at East Van Roasters.
Thanks to local roasters, Elysian Coffee, Moving Coffee, and Phil & Sebastian for putting their coffees on the table.
It was a great success! It's Potluck because you bring either coffee OR food donation. So we collected over 5 kg of food!
Comment below, what are some of the main take-aways that you had after this session?
If you are a first time taster, or curious about coffee or the community surrounding it get come to the next Potluck Sunday for some brewed coffee.
Also, don't miss out on a chance to learn what to look for when buying the best beans and making coffee at home - we launch the BREW UNIVERSITY this Saturday! Take home an aeropress, coffee beans, and mad skills!
Do you have pictures you want to share from the tasting? #coffeepotluckYVR and we will exhibit them here.
