Coffee friends is a 5-min (or so) live-stream video conversations of people surrounding coffee. (owners, baristas, community, customers, drinkers anyone really) The point is to chat casually about community and what builds it -- just have fun.
"HELLO COFFEE-Friend CITIZENS, WE ARE GETTING READY FOR A LIVE STREAM THIS MORNING" - Hangouts On Air
This week was the first time I attempted talking to someone outside of Vancouver! In this modern world, we should have ways to break the barrier of geographical distance, am i right?
If you didn't watch last weeks coffee friends with Phil, you can't miss that! Before you watch our chat with Josh Hockin this week, DO THAT HERE! Phil and Josh are fellow Albertans who are an instrumental to the growing community.
THIS WEEK's HIGHLIGHT: Prairie Coffee Collective - how Alberta interest spawned growth in competition, community & how we can apply that to Vancouver. How to learn more about coffee.
My fave highlight: We threw in a few polarizing warm-up questions
I think when you start something that you've never done before, ie. coffee friends, there is lots of learning to be done in the early stages. I add to the list of 'lessons learned' every week, but I'm very much open to hearing from you coffee-friend citizens.
Sound quality is my primary improvement that will get worked out ASAP! Anyone out there that wants to see an improvement in this Coffee friends live-stream series, comment below if you're liking it or hating it. Or tweet or email me!
Gratitude: Thanks to Jon Lin for allowing me the use of the amazing picture of Josh ;) hope you like it, all.
