I trust that many of you are wondering when we will thaw out in Western Canada, but Balzac Billy (he's a groundhog, fyi) broke the bad news of 'more winter' to us last week. For the first time ever, we are coming together to taste something other than brewed coffee at our Sunday community. Now, for those of you who work in cafes, this activity may not be so foreign to you but it is difficult to taste the subtleties between different milks if you don't have a comparative sample.
Are you that person who asks for an extra hot cappuccino, or have you ever wondered why some cafes serve a noticeably cooler milk drink? This week, we will be meeting at Pallet Coffee No. 1 (Semlin Drive) to learn about milk and what inputs shape the taste.
Here's what Vancouverites do when it snows? We taste white fluffy things...

Who: baristas, skeptical coffee drinkers, COFFEEFRIENDS, coffee curious
What: tasting a number of local milks and observing the impact of temperature in steamed milk
When: SUNDAY, 12th of February at 3:00 pm
